Profession practice regulation for offices

  • No engineering office may seek to replace or compete another office by reducing its engineering remunerations or finishing a job used to be carried out by another office before the rights of the other office are dissolved or the Body’s or Association Council’s consent is obtained.
  • No office may sign a work made and designed by another office.
  • Offices shall refrain from modifying any engineering work designed by another office without a prior consent to the modification is obtained from the making office or obtained from the Body and Association Council.
  • Offices shall refrain from using brokers to attract clients for a reward or a benefit.
  • Offices shall refrain from criticizing the other offices’ works.
  • Offices shall adhere to the instructions made by the Council in relation to the profession practice.
  • Offices must execute their contracts with employers or contractors clearly so as to clarify the liabilities, obligations and responsibilities of each part thereto.
  • Offices shall not take part in any engineering or architectural contests within Jordan but through the Jordanian Engineers Association.
  • Offices may not participate in submitting technical proposals for engineering works prior to entering into contracts with the clients unless the technical proposal is made within an official tender. Any disputes arising out of the same, shall be the office’s sole responsibility.
