Zarqa Branch

Jordanian Engineers Association Branch of Zarqa was established in the middle of 1970s as an appointed committee. In the middle of 1980s, the Committee became elected. The Branch Committee consists of seven members and the term is two years. When the Association Law was subsequently changed to decentralization, the Branch Committee name was changed to Branch Council and its term became three years.

In 1991, an undedicated engineer was appointed at the Technical Department.

In 2004, there came the idea of creating departments within the Branch to regulate the work, and a Technical, Administrative and Financial Departments were established.

In 2006, the Branch was moved to a new office fully owned by the Association at the Professional Associations Complex. The area of the new office is 1000 square meters and it is properly equipped. The Branch consists of a couple of wards, one for the employees and for receiving the visitors, and the other one is for the activities, events and Engineers Training Center.

There are now 15 employees providing all services as provided by the Association Headquarter in Amman.

Zarqa Branch Special Merits
  • It is the first to call for Branch Conferences and decentralization in Branches ideas. The first conference was held in Zarqa Branch in 1994.
  • It came up with the idea of establishing a consultancy council of Zarqa Branch, and it was the first in kind for Jordan Engineers Association.
  • It established the Engineer’s Park and Swimming Pool, which are the first in kind for professional associations in 2005.
  • It won the Best Branch Award in the Seventh Branches Conference held in Tafila under the name of the Excellent Branch Award.
Engineers Training Center
  • Engineers Training Center is the practical tool of Jordan Engineers Association, as it contributes to transferring various experiences and sciences for the development of the engineering sector.
  • Engineers Training Center was established in 1997. Based on the decentralization concept, Engineers Training Center / Zarqa was founded in 2001 to contribute to serving our fellow engineers in Zarqa Governorate and upgrading their proficiency in all engineering, administrative and information fields through courses, seminars, workshops and any other activities for this purpose.
  • Engineers Training Center won the trust of engineers as assured by the constant growth every year in the courses held by the Center.
  • The Center cares to provide the best training programs in the engineer and non-engineering fields with the best lecturers, and to provide credibility to the courses with the producing companies at highly advanced and equipped lecture rooms.
