Jordanian Engineers Association Branch of Zarqa was established in the middle of 1970s as an appointed committee. In the middle of 1980s, the Committee became elected. The Branch Committee consists of seven members and the term is two years. When the Association Law was subsequently changed to decentralization, the Branch Committee name was changed to Branch Council and its term became three years.
In 1991, an undedicated engineer was appointed at the Technical Department.
In 2004, there came the idea of creating departments within the Branch to regulate the work, and a Technical, Administrative and Financial Departments were established.
In 2006, the Branch was moved to a new office fully owned by the Association at the Professional Associations Complex. The area of the new office is 1000 square meters and it is properly equipped. The Branch consists of a couple of wards, one for the employees and for receiving the visitors, and the other one is for the activities, events and Engineers Training Center.
There are now 15 employees providing all services as provided by the Association Headquarter in Amman.
