Services and Procedures of the Training and Employment Department

The department provides the following services for fellow engineers in accordance with the procedures to be described below:

  1. The job seeker application:

    1. The requirement:
      • The Filling of the job seeker form

    2. The procedure:
      • Inserting the job seeker form using the oracle system by the department staff.
      • Providing the engineer with the existing opportunities locally and regionally according to the engineer’s specialization
      • Guiding the engineer to keep a follow-up of the opportunities provided on the website.
  2. The training seeker application:
    1. The requirement:
      • The engineer shall meet the conditions for training which are:
        1. The engineer’s graduation should not be more than three years prior to the application.
        2. The engineer should not have been trained or worked previously for a period of no more than three months.
      • The filling of the training seeker form.

    2. The procedure:
      • Inserting the job seeker form using the oracle system by the department staff.
      • Providing the engineer with the existing opportunities for training according to the engineer’s specialization.
      • Providing the engineer with addressing letters for training at the training authority which the engineer desires to pursue training in.
      • Guiding the engineer to keep a follow-up of the opportunities provided on the website.
  3. Helping the engineer to acquire training with a contracting firm or a private firm in the event of the attainment of a firm's approval on the engineer’s proposed and approved training:
    1. The requirement:
      • The engineer shall meet the terms of the training mentioned previously.
      • The training authority (firm) should be officially registered with the association, and in case if the designated training authority (firm) is not registered in the association, the engineer is required to provide a commercial record and a commercial name for the training authority (firm).
      • The engineer is required to provide a letter of acceptance for training in the designated training authority (firm).
      • The engineer is required to provide a letter of his/her initiation of training in the firm in addition to a personal bank account including the (IBAN) number.
      • The engineer is required to provide the approved and adopted attendance sheet from the training authority (firm) in addition to a financial receipt of the firm’s financial contribution amount which confirms the receipting of the financial contribution for the remaining months.
      • The engineer is required to provide a letter stating the completion of training (termination of training) from the firm in addition to the approved and adopted attendance sheet and the financial receipt.
    2. The procedure:
      • Ensuring that the engineer meets the training requirements.
      • The introduction of the engineer’s name in the section minutes which will be presented to the council by the section staff.
      • In the event of the issuance of the council’s approval decision, the engineer shall be provided with the approval decision in the following format.
      • The engineer is introduced as a trainer in the firm.
      • At the end of the training period, the engineer will be terminated from the firm.
  4. Providing the engineer with a letter stating the prospect for training at the Ministry of Public Works and Housing.
    1. The requirement:
      • The engineer shall meet the training requirements mentioned previously
    2. The procedure:
      • Ensuring that the engineer meets the training requirements mentioned previously.
      • Providing the engineer with a letter addressed to the Ministry for the prospect of approval for training an engineer at its locations in addition to the list of documents required by the ministry to proceed with the application at the ministry.
      • Note: The letters received from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing regarding the training are saved and the engineers are not introduced directly to the ministry; the ministry later provides the association with a magnetized disk of the engineers’ names who have been trained at its locations during the year.
  5. Helping the engineer to acquire training in an engineering office in case of the attainment of an engineering office’s approval for pursuing the engineer’s training:
    1. The requirement:
      • The engineer shall meet the training requirements mentioned previously.
      • The office in which training will be held to be officially registered at the association.
      • The engineer is required to provide the letter of acceptance regarding training from the office.
      • The engineer is required to provide a letter of his/her starting (initiation of training) in the office in addition to a personal bank account including the (IBAN) number.
      • The engineer is required to bring the approved and adopted attendance sheet from the firm in addition to a financial receipt of the firm’s financial contribution amount which confirms the receipting of the contribution for the remaining months.
      • The engineer is required to provide a letter of training completion (termination of training) from the firm with the approved and adopted attendance sheet as well as the financial receipt.
    2. The procedure:
      • Ensuring that the engineer meets the training requirements.
      • The introduction of the engineer’s name in the section minutes which will be presented to the council by the section staff.
      • In the event of the issuance of the council’s approval decision, the engineer shall be provided with the approval decision in the following format.
      • The engineer is introduced as a trainer in the office.
      • At the end of the training period, the engineer will be terminated from the office.
  6. Helping the local firms to employ engineers who are seeking employment opportunities inside Jordan through placing an advertisement for the firm on the association’s website:
    1. The requirement:
      • Filling the form of “demand to employ engineers” by the firm and then send the form on the department’s email.
    2. The procedure:
      • Inserting the advertisement using the oracle program by the department staff.
      • Placing the advertisement on the main website of the association.
      • Providing the engineer with lists of firms’ names which are seeking employment according to what is required in the advertisement.
      • Demanding the firm to provide the association with the engineers’ names who were selected to be appointed or to be trained.
      • Insuring that the advertisement has been completely deleted from the website upon the firm’s selection of engineers.
  7. Assisting the foreign firm to employ engineers who are seeking employment outside Jordan through placing an advertisement for the foreign firm on the association’s website:
    1. The requirement:
      • Sending the required advertisement format on the department’s email.
    2. The procedure:
      • Placing the advertisement on the association’s main website.
      • Providing the engineer with lists of firms’ names which are seeking employment according to what is required in the advertisement if any.
      • Demanding from the firm to provide the association with the engineers’ names who were selected to be appointed or to be trained.
      • In case the firm requested an interview with the engineers in Jordan, this shall be arranged with the firm according to its requirements.
  8. Engineers legal cases:
    1. A- The requirement:
      • The engineer shall provide a “request to appear in court” (A subpoena) of his/her own case either personally or by e-mail.
      • The engineer shall provide any documents related to his/her own legal case if any.
    2. B- The procedure:
      • Inquiring if the engineer has submitted his/her request to the firm directly
      • If the engineer has not submitted his/her request to the firm and didn’t inform the firm of his/her standing problem, the association would demand that the engineer must address the firm initially hoping that a response is attained without the need to go to court.
      • If the engineer has submitted a request to the firm and it didn’t respond positively to him/her, the association shall then send a formal letter to the concerned authority to address it so as to acquire justice to the engineer.
